My research focuses on national security policy, defense policy, civil-military relations, legislative behavior, critical infrastructure, and geopolitics. I draw upon interdisciplinary methods across political science, military studies, and engineering. My writing includes peer-reviewed scholarship, policy research, Army professional publications, and operational lessons-learned:
Legislative Dynamics & Defense Appropriations: Author of quantitative research examining congressional polarization, constituent pressures, and legislative effectiveness in defense spending and veteran policy.
Geopolitics & Strategic Environments: Analysis of Arctic security challenges, emerging economic corridors, and regional defense posture.
Civil-Military Relations: Policy research addressing municipal veteran support structures, institutional defense strategy, and public policy formulation.
My work includes publications and white papers with policy institutions, including the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), being an inaugural Dubik Fellow, editor-in-chief for 2nd SBCT, and publishing in a peer-reviewed political science publication.
